Children's Speech & Language Therapy | Plymouth, Devon & Cornwall
About Us
Lisa is a private speech therapist in Plymouth who wants children to be happy and have the skills to learn, as well as those to make and maintain friendships.
"Early identification of children’s needs means me and my team can put support in place quickly to help children catch up. Children love our one-to-one sessions because they have fun and feel confident about communicating!"
Hello! I'm Lisa Taylor-Jones, founder and lead therapist at Step Up Speech & Language. I'm an independent Speech and Language Therapist working in Plymouth and its surrounding areas of South Devon and East Cornwall. My team and I provide speech and language therapy in Ivybridge, Yealmpton and the South Hams, as well as in Tavistock, Torpoint and Saltash.
I feel passionately about supporting children's speech and language and have helped hundreds of children overcome their speech and language difficulties to become confident speakers.
As a mum myself, I know how worrying it can be when you have concerns about your child but can't access support. That is why we respond to all enquiries promptly. We will listen to your concerns and discuss the best next steps for you and your child. We work alongside nurseries and schools so children can practice their skills in between their therapy sessions with us - ensuring they make progress week by week!
We work with a range of communication difficulties. I'm also an accredited assessor of autism (ADOS, ADI-R) and offer a pre-diagnostic assessment and report writing service. We will work with you and your family to give you the support you need, when you need it.
