What is Teletherapy?
All you need is internet connection and a camera!
Teletherapy is a new way to deliver speech and language therapy. You and your child can access the specialist skills of a speech and language therapist through online sessions from the comfort of your own home.
Teletherapy has a number of benefits - children appear more comfortable interacting with the therapist through a laptop or tablet, and you can sit in on the session to learn new tips and tricks so you can support your child.
In my teletherapy sessions I use a range of video tasks and interactive games to deliver evidenced-based therapies to children. Resources are accessed using my great new therapy tool from Symplify. Children play along whilst improving awareness and practising their new skills. My new assistant Pickle is also happy to help children who are shy or want to practice their new sounds!
At the end of the session I can have a face to face consultation with you to give feedback on your child's progress, and offer advice and guidance.
